The "Authentic Identity" project is an initiative spearheaded by our law firm to provide pro bono legal representation for transgender individuals in Puerto Rico seeking to change their name and gender markers. Recognizing the critical role that legal recognition plays in affirming one’s identity, this project addresses the barriers that transgender individuals often face in navigating the legal system. By offering comprehensive legal support, our goal is to facilitate a smoother, more equitable process for name and gender marker changes, thereby promoting greater inclusivity and respect for transgender individuals’ rights and identities. Through this initiative, we aim to empower individuals to fully embrace their authentic selves and enhance their overall well-being, contributing to a more just and supportive community.
